Radiation is often thought of as dangerous and unhealthy. It is, of course, when it’s improperly used, and history has done a very good job of showing us what improper use looks like. However, when radiation and radiation-emitting substances are used properly by doctors who understand and know how to minimize the health risks, their applications are indispensable in cancer treatment therapies and medical diagnostic imaging.
